In the heart of Stockholm

The Grand Hôtel is located in the very heart of Stockholm. The hotel's founder, Régis Cadier, knew exactly what he was doing when he chose his site for the new hotel. The Grand Hôtel is ideally located for business, shopping and culture, and most things are within walking distance.

Stockholm's archipelago is also close at hand, as the boats for the archipelago depart from the quay immediately in front of the hotel's main entrance.

The hotel's concierge is always happy to provide suggestions about what to do in Stockholm and the region. The concierge can also help you to reserve tickets, dinner reservations, provide route descriptions and many other things.

Communications

BY PLANE - Arlanda International Airport (international and domestic flights) is about 45 minutes’ drive from the hotel. Bromma Airport (domestic) is about 30 minutes from the hotel. The Arlanda Express is the high-speed train to Arlanda Airport. Trains depart from the Central Station on Vasagatan every 15 minutes. The traveling time is 20 minutes and tickets cost SEK 220.
Airport buses (Flygbussarna) to Arlanda and Bromma depart from Cityterminalen on Klarabergsviadukten. Tickets cost SEK 99 to Arlanda and SEK 80 to Bromma.

BY TRAIN – The Central Station on Vasagatan is about 15 minutes from the Grand Hôtel by foot or 5 minutes by car.

BUS – The nearest bus stop, which is by Kungsträdgården, is about 200 meters from the hotel.

PARKING – If you arrive at the hotel by car you can leave the keys with the doorman, who will park your car. When you need the car again the doorman will bring it to the entrance. The price of parking is SEK 495 per 24-hour period.

Much like ABBA and Volvo, smörgåsbord has long been synonymous with Sweden. You can enjoy the Grand Hôtel’s very special version of this classic buffet at the  Veranda.

As the only restaurant in Stockholm that offers a smörgåsbord all year round, we strongly recommend our foreign guests and visitors to try out this Swedish tradition. All the classic Swedish dishes that are traditionally included in a smörgåsbord are there - and a few more.
