In the wine cellar under the Cadier Bar, you’ll find both Mouton Rothschild from the year the hotel opened in 1874 and Pol Roger’s 1914 vintage. The Grand Hôtel boasts one of the largest selections of quality wines in the Nordic region. Over the years, our highly qualified sommeliers have built up and cared for an almost unbelievable combination of depth and breadth. Our 1,800 label-long wine list has won the Wine Spectator magazine’s Award of Excellence for years.
We are now delighted to invite our guests to join the Grand Hôtel Wine Club, through which we will be organizing wine tasting events and sharing interesting tips from our head sommelier Johan Lagergren in our wine club newsletter. Johan will also be giving talks about wine tours, wine districts, fairs, auctions and other wine-related subjects. On the first Tuesday of every month, we will be hosting a wine tasting event in the cellar, with room for ten guests per event. Membership commits you to nothing more than enthusiastically receiving our newsletter. A warm welcome to all wine enthusiasts.
